Another version of the book was released on January 7, to coincide with the movie : this version had a different cover with Logan Lerman who plays Percy in the film, holding the Master Bolt sitting on a ledge and eight pages of screen caps from the movie.

In the middle of the third story pictures of a few characters are shown. After that it also contains a preview of The Last Olympian , hinting at the fact that these stories took place between the events of The Last Olympian and those of The Battle of the Labyrinth. However, The Bronze Dragon has been proven to occur during The Battle of the Labyrinth , since the fireworks occur during both of them, and The Stolen Chariot likely occurred before Battle of the Labyrinth , as it was released on Rick Riordan's blog before the book was.

Additional contents include interviews with some of the campers, a picture of Annabeth Chase 's trunk, a map of Camp Half-Blood and various crossword puzzles with other activities. Riptide is on the cover, and behind it is Poseidon's trident.

It also contains several interviews with the characters. Percy is in school when he hears strange noises and spots Clarisse La Rue outside. Clarisse is being attacked by Feather-Shooting Bird. Percy gets himself excused from class and goes to help Clarisse and find out why she is there. Clarisse is surprised, and not very happy to see him. After the two of them have defeated the birds, Clarisse reluctantly agrees to tell Percy why she is not at Camp Half-Blood.

Clarisse reveals that she is supposed to be taking care of Ares' War Chariot , and needs to get it back to Ares' temple by sundown. However, her immortal brothers, Deimos and Phobos gods of terror and fear respectively have stolen the chariot. Phobos comes to taunt Clarisse and gives them a hint about where to find the chariot. On their way, they encounter Deimos, who is riding a sea serpent, but they quickly defeat both the god and the sea monster and continue on their way.

At the zoo, they find the chariot and face the two gods again. Phobos and Deimos show Percy and Clarisse their worst fears. I had a few scratches, but nothing major.

I pulled a feather arrow out of my arm. I took a bag of ambrosia out of my jacket, where I always kept it for emergencies, broke a piece in half and offered some to Clarisse.

We swallowed a few bites — not too much, since the food of the gods can burn you to ashes if you overindulge. Anyway, in a few seconds our cuts and bruises had disappeared. Clarisse sheathed her sword and brushed off her denim jacket. What are you doing away from camp? Why were those birds after you? I was too accustomed to her tricks. I just sidestepped and let her stumble past me. That makes it my business. I got the feeling she really wanted to punch me out, but at the same time there was a desperate look in her eyes, like she was in serious trouble.

Clarisse had lots of siblings at Camp Half-Blood. All of them picked on each other. I guess that was to be expected since they were sons and daughters of the war god, Ares.

Phobos and Deimos. Mrs White would just assume the nurse had sent me home, and sixth period was woodwork class. Mr Bell never took attendance. And he told me to take it out. So they stole the chariot from me and chased me off with those stupid arrow-throwing birds. Together, they resurrect a huge bronze dragon automaton to fight off the vicious ants that capture and nearly kill Beckendorf.

In his final big adventure, Percy and demigods Thalia and Nico are summoned to Hades by the goddess Persephone to retrieve a stolen sword that gives its owner the ability to summon the dead. Percy and his demigod friends set off on a mission in the Underworld to find the sword.

They face many perils and dangers in their trek. They deal with a troll and the goddess of ghosts as well as a raging giant Titan. But, in the end, they find the sword and return it to Hades with the caveat that he not raise it against the gods of the upper world. The book ends when Percy is summoned for another mission. His human girl tells him to save the world for her. To Percy, that was not at all a light remark.
